Nintendo and PlayStation Sharing the Spotlight on September 13th

Two digital panels before Tokyo Game Show

Gamers were greeted with not just one but two digital directs,. Nintendo and PlayStation sharing the spotlight on September 13th, days before Tokyo Game Show on Thursday, September 15t. Nintendo Direct announced its broadcast Tuesday morning at 10 am ET (7am PT). The direct will go for 40 minutes, one of the longest ones Nintendo has done. Rumors swirling of classic Zelda titles, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, coming to the Switch. Could fans finally see updates of the next Metroid Prime game and a possible release of the original trilogy for the Switch? With Pokemon’s Scarlet and Violet already had their direct and Splatoon 3 released last week, expect some tasty new announcements.

Later in the day, PlayStation revealed its next State of Play panel, also on Tuesday at 6pm ET (3pm PT), showcasing upcoming titles for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR2 for 20 minutes. The panel will showcase 10 games, expect some news on upcoming Final Fantasy XVI and other games from Japanese studios.
