Regards to why an entire album based off of Ridge Racer, RoBKTA had the following to say:
Ridge Racer is possibly the one video game series that stuck the most with me musically. Ridge Racer Infinity constitutes the album I always wanted to produce to show my love for the series and I am humbled and lucky to have by my side great talents to collaborate with.
Listening to the album, it carries the high and fast rhythm tempo throughout the album. It’s a great album to put on while working or anywhere to help spring forward your momentum through the day. Even if you’re not a Ridge Racer fanatic, it’s well worth your time if you enjoy fast-paced music. Personally, it has a resemblance of Initial D, a popular anime series about car drifting, vibe to it.
Ridge Racer‘s original composers, Kohta Takahashi had the following say about RoBKTA’s Ridge Racer Infinity album:
RoBKTA’s love for Ridge Racer is unbelievable. I have been listening to his arrangements for over 10 years now and have been encouraged and inspired by them as one of Ridge Racer’s original composers.
The album is available on popular streaming services along with the option to purchase the CD and a cassette tape from the Materia Store or Bandcamp, both selling for $15 USD. The cassette tape is a real treat for those growing up in the ’90s and to offer an official product is hard to pass. The product art utilizes the original PlayStation game case design, along with an anime-theme character and race cars in the background. Definitely a ’90s vibe when looking at it.
