Square Enix dropped a few new content regarding Final Fantasy XVI during the Video Game Awards 2022. Not only did fans were treated a new trailer but also Final Fantasy XVI release date for the PlayStation 5. The timed exclusive PlayStation 5 game, Final Fantasy XVI launches globally on June 22, 2023. Pre-orders for the Standard, Deluxe, and Digital Deluxe are open. The Collector’s Edition revealed but available to pre-order on December 12, 2022 at 9:00 p.m. EST / 6:00 pm PST on the Square Enix Store. Here’s what’s inside each edition:
Final Fantasy XVI Collector’s Edition
- Collector’s Box – A beautiful metallic-sheen box featuring impressive artwork by legendary Final Fantasy series illustrator, Yoshitaka Amano

Pre-ordering the game for either physical or digital editions will receive the Braveheart (Weapon) DLC and Cait Sith Charm (Gil Boost Accessory) DLC. Digital version pre-orders will receive an additional DLC, the Scholar’s Spectacles (Exp Boost Accessory). If you purchase the Collector’s Edition, you’ll receive the special digital-only DLC.
