Grim Guardians has seen better days. With the game pulled down on a few online shops, Inti Creates came out stating that the game will be back up for purchasing under a new title, Gal Guardians: Demon Purge. The game is well worth your time, read out review for more details.
Regarding the sudden name change, Inti Creates received a complaint of the game’s original title, Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, from the owners of the trademark “GRIMGUARD”. The trademark is registered in the following countries: United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand. Because of this and to avoid any issues down the road, Inti Creates made the decision to change the name Grim Guardians: Demon Purge from to Gal Guardians: Demon Purge. It’s unfortunate the issue has risen right after the game’s launch but sometime these situations can happen.
Due to the change, Inti Creates has stated the update will roll out to all platforms in the coming weeks. Doing so, the game could be down until the change is rolled out. After speaking with Inti Creates, we will also change the game’s name to match the appropriate title to avoid any confusion.
