Nintendo presented a special reveal for the upcoming release of their next Zelda title, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch edition, a special themed pro controller, and carrying case revealed and showcased the same timeframe. The Tears of the Kingdom Switch edition will be the OLED model and set to release on April 28th. Pre-orders will open soon but hopefully this edition will be better stocked than the game’s limited edition. Like the Splatoon 3 themed console, this limited edition does not come with the latest Zelda title. Do expect the price to be priced at $359.99 USD.
Additionally, a limited edition pro controller and carrying case will carry designs from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom too and will release May 12th, same day as the game. Expect pre-orders to open for these items soon too.
Nintendo has a history of releasing special editions on upcoming big titled games. For example, a Splatoon 3 themed Nintendo Switch console set, pro controller, and carrying case revealed during the summer last year. Nintendo also released a special Mario-themed console for Mario Day as well.
