Final Fantasy fans don’t have to wait much longer till Final Fantasy XVI hits the street date, June 22nd. In the meantime, Square Enix launched the Final Fantasy XVI demo to give players a taste of the game, ten days earlier. The demo is available to grab now on the PlayStation Store.
In the demo, players will watch the opening prologue and approximately a two and half hour amount of gameplay. Giving an in-depth view of Clive Rosfield’s past and the events that put him on his current journey. You’ll infiltrate a fort in the middle of the night with Clive and his faithful wolf Torgal and Cidolfus Telamon. Unfortunately the save data from this segment of the demo won’t transfer over. However, the prologue of Clive’s history will transfer over. Players can also play replay the demo multiple times to give a head start experiencing the game’s mechanics.
Sony is offering the PlayStation 5’s Final Fantasy XVI bundle on their online store. Unfortunately the US won’t receive the special shells and controller like Japan is getting. You’ll have to pay more to import those.
