Nintendo has lighten its grip with its mature content as PlayStation goes the opposite direction. However, some countries are still tightening their grip on content, even if the game is available in other countries. Mugen Souls gets delisted in Australia’s Nintendo eShop due to its hot and heavy content.
Fear not Australians, with the Nintendo Switch being region free, you can pick up the game digitally in other countries by creating a separate region account for North America and Europe. Setting one up is quite easy as long as you have a separate email address and purchasing an eShop currency card for that region. You’ll need to pick up a $50 USD eShop card to cover the base and taxes if purchasing in North America. £50 (pounds) eShop card to cover with more extra if purchasing in the Europe region.
Another alternative is purchasing the physical edition, since being region free, it’s a win-win. There’s the limited edition or the standard edition, both available on PlayAsia.com, and its a $20 USD difference between the two editions. These editions carry both Japanese and English subtitles.
Could this affect the upcoming sequel, Mugen Souls Z? It’s quite possible but again, the options will be available for Australians.
