A lost, forgotten Shantae game is getting a revival. The sequel to the original Shantae was archived after poor sales of the first game. Twenty years later, the Shantae series is striving and what better way to celebrate by reviving its lost Game Boy Advance game, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution. However this game is getting a physical Game Boy Advance release, thanks to Limited Run Games. The Game Boy Advance game will be on a cartridge that resembles a Game Boy Advance game, similar to Crunchyroll’s game. Pre-orders to be announced at a later time but the game will release early 2024 by Limited Run Games.
The game fills the void between the 2002 Shantae and 2010’s Shantae: Risky’s Revenge. In Risky Revolution, Shantae’s nemeis, Risky Boots, is up-to-no-good once again. This time, Risky is utilizing a device that can rotate and rearrange the continent. Doing this gives Risky the advantage to place cities near shores for her to plunder. It’s a wild scenario but Shantae fans will want to look forward of this long-lost game. Additionally, the game will support up-to four players for multiplayer fun.
