It’s time for a collection of smackdowns! Rose & Camellia Collection announced for the Nintendo Switch is set to release late 2023 / early 2024. The collection includes these following games: Rose & Camellia, Rose & Camellia 2, Rose & Camellia vs. La-Mulana, Rose & Camellia 3 and Rose & Camellia 4. Part 3 and 4 are new entries added to the collection.
As mentioned earlier about smackdowns, the game revolved around slapping your opponent. Players will use the Joy Con’s motion controls to mimic the slap motion. Otherwise, players can use the Switch’s touch pad if motion control isn’t your thing. Not only will you smack for your respect but also dodging, feinting, and countering until only one heiress is left standing.
Rose & Camellia initially released in 2000 as a Flash series of games online. This is the first time the game and its series will arrive on a console. The collection will have full English voiceovers with subtitles in various languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Japanese). Additionally there’s an anime-style opening along with two vocal songs by Cristina “Vee” Valenzuela. Aside from the story mode, this set also includes a competitive two-player local versus mode.
Players can purchase the games through the Nintendo eShop for digital version. Otherwise, a physical edition is set to release by Limited Run Games.
