Much like the launch of Stray, Sea of Stars will arrive on PlayStation Plus on August 29th. The same day the game launches for retail of $34.99 USD. Those who have either have the PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium, you can download the turned-based role-playing game (RPG) that day. Additionally, a demo is available now for PlayStation players and was setup to avoid spoilers. There’s no indication anything will transfer from the demo to the full game but players can at least get a taste what this RPG will have in store.
About Sea of Stars
Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and moon to perform Eclipse Magic, the only force capable of fending off the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
This hot indie game originally announced for PC in 2020, was inspired by popular ’90s RPGs such as Chrono Trigger. It’ll utilize today’s development tools to resurrect the gameplay of the golden era of 16-bit video games. A more detailed interview about the development of the game available on PlayStation Blog.
Sea of Stars launches on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 29, 2023 for a retail of $34.99 USD. Sea of Stars launches on the PlayStation Plus catalog, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
