Before the release of the next remake installment, Square Enix and Fathom Events set to release a director’s cut of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete to theaters, for a limited time. The film set to screen at over 650 theaters nationwide for two days only. On February 21st, a dubbed version set to screen. On February 22nd, a subbed version. Fans can visit Fathom Events website for tickets and a theater near you.

The theater film has a few modifications compared to the original film. Complete will run an extra twenty-six minutes (2hrs 10min) than the original (1hr 21min) that’ll also feature revised scenes with expanded themes and improved visuals. Square Enix encourages viewers to come earlier for a special presentation including a history of Final Fantasy VII and interviews with the director of the film and creative director. Additional interviews with Final Fantasy VII Remake‘s creative director Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth‘s director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase.

Two years have passed since Midgar fell to ruin, standing as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace: a mysterious illness is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir and Cloud Strife, who walked away from the life of a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again.
