Announced back in early summer of 2022, players can final open the book as The Plucky Squire set to hit shelves this September. This 2D and 3D combination game looks to break the barrier and give players a fun adventure as you jump from book to book, tackling foes in various ways such as: boxing, flying in a jetpack, and many other puzzles. It gives a unique flavor, similar to how Cuphead first came out with its unique style of old-school animation. With The Plucky Squire release date set for mid-September, it can’t come soon enough!

About The Plucky Squire

The Plucky Squire follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends – storybook characters who discover a three-dimensional world outside the pages of their book. When the seriously unchill wizard Humgrump realizes he’s the villain of the book – destined to lose his battle against the forces of good for all eternity – he kicks the heroic Jot out of its pages and changes their story forever.

But Jot doesn’t have to go it alone, with a merry band of brave adventurers joining him on his page-turning quest to save the realm, including an eccentric DJing wizard. Humgrump doesn’t stand a chance.

The Plucky Squire release date set to launch for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 17, 2024. PlayStation Plus subscribers can grab the game as part of their monthly subscription.
