Upcoming classic Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) is set to release on modern consoles in September, but players can get an early taste by testing out the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter demo now for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Additional news, the game is compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 but with an upgrade price of $1. This upgrade pack includes higher resolution, smoother frame rates, and more. While forking over an extra dollar bill seems odd, it’s at least better than buying the whole entire game like the Suikoden I & II HD Remaster. Those who are new to the series or looking to jump into it, Trails in the Sky is a great start.

About Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter

Originally released in 2004 for PC and ported to the PSP in 2006, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is a classic JRPG set in the Liberl Kingdom. The story follows Estelle Bright and her adoptive brother, Joshua, as they begin their journey to become senior bracers. What starts as a simple mission grows into a battle against a mysterious organization threatening their homeland.
