The next Super Mario film, the Super Mario Galaxy Movie announced. The movie set to release in theaters in April 2026. This was announced during this morning’s Nintendo Direct.

Additionally, some details regarding cast was revealed in the presentation. Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan Michael-Key (Toad), and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek) will reprise their roles in this upcoming sequel to the Super Mario film. The teaser trailer revealed this morning was more of a title announcement, it showcased that the film will not only focus on the Mushroom Kingdom but larger areas into the galaxy and expect more characters to reveal soon. Shigeru Miyamoto, who revealed the film’s title during the Nintendo Direct, informs viewers that he is involved the film’s production and “enjoying it”. “It’s a movie worthy of the 40th anniversary,” says Miyamoto.

The movie is also set to kick-off the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. when it first released in Japan, September 13, 1985. Are you excited for the upcoming Super Mario movie?
