Bandai Namco’s Patapon 1+2 Replay adds Boss Challenge Mode, a free update for those who have purchased the game. The new mode will have players enter high difficulty and a challenges where they will only fight bosses. The update is available now.
Details About the Boss Challenge Mode
This is a mode where players use armies raised in PATAPON 1 and PATAPON 2 to defeat consecutive bosses.
- The number and strength of bosses that appear vary with each stage.
- The bosses will appear at random, testing your skill as a deity.
- The HP and survival status of your army will be carried over throughout the same stage. Patapon whose HP reaches 0 will fall in battle without dropping a cap.
- Patapon will recover a fixed amount of HP each battle. Units in reserve will recover more HP than units participating in battle. Hatapon, as an exception, will recover full HP each battle.
- Upon clearing a stage, your army will return to the status from the beginning of the Boss Rush Challenge, with HP fully restored and units fully revived. It is only after clearing a stage that play data can be saved. (Save data can only be created once each for PATAPON 1 and PATAPON 2.)
- Players restart from the last save point after experiencing a Game Over. Aim to clear each stage!
Patapon 1+2 Replay is available now for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam). Details about the game is available on the game’s official website.
