Nintendo’s latest update to the Nintendo Switch 2 console gives a new feature that many owners will want to take notice. The 22.0.0 update adds a new feature called “Handheld Mode Boost”. This feature will make compatible Nintendo Switch software to run on TV mode for the handheld mode on the Nintendo Switch 2. A great addition by Nintendo to try and push more reasons to purchase the Nintendo Switch 2.

After the update, the feature is not turned on. Players must go to the “System Settings” (gear icon) on the dashboard, then proceed to the “System” on the left column. Next, go to “Nintendo Switch Software Handling” and then enable “Handheld Mode Boost”. According to Nintendeal, not all Nintendo Switch software will utilize this feature and turning this option could drain the battery more.

Outside the new Handheld Mode Boost, Nintendo has made additional tweaks to the Airplane Mode, Accessibility updates, save notes about friends on your Friend List, and more. Those additional detailed notes can be found on Nintendo’s Support page.

What games are you looking forward to and have found to benefit the Handheld Mode Boost for your Nintendo Switch 2 console?
