Orbitals made a surprise entry to the Nintendo Switch 2 as a console exclusive. At first glance and from what we are hearing, it’s a blend of ’80s anime and the award-winning co-op game, It Takes Two. I’m already sold. The co-op adventure adapts the classic anime style and while we only seen videos of it in action, there were a few that had the chance to demo the game at the Summer Game Fest.

Dalibor Dimovski from SideQuesting had the following to say on his preview:

Orbitals is a playable anime that pulled at every bit of my gaming and TV nostalgia in the best possible way.

ThunderStash Gaming was also quite ecstatic of the experience in his video preview:

After spending twenty minutes with Orbitals, I walked away wanting to play more.

Ricky Berg from Nintendo Wire had a great experience with the game in his preview:

It’s easy to look at Orbitals and say it looks great visually, but having played it, every Nintendo Switch 2 owner should have it on their radar.

Josh Coulson from TheGamer had a great experience with his preview:

Orbitals is the game it looks like in the trailers. Actually, it’s more than that.

Casey DeFreitas from IGN had the following experience in her preview:

From what I’ve played and what I know about the people behind it, I’m sold, and can’t wait to play Orbitals with my equally anime-loving partner.

Orbitals arrives for the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 3, 2026. Fans can visit the game’s official website for more information and available to pre-order on Nintendo’s eShop.
