The Tides of Annihilation story trailer showcased at Gamescom gave us more insight depth with Gwendolyn’s (Gwen) story, the power of the Fog, and more gameplay action. The game still in development but looks smooth and an entertaining title to keep on your radar. A release date still not revealed but expect at least a window timeline before the end of 2026.
During development, the game made some modifications. During a Q&A session, with Jennifer English’s departure, Angela Sant’Albano stepped in to take on the role of the lead protagonist. Gwen’s visuals were tweaked after a discussion internally but the team has stated that they did not change her original character model and kept it remained since the first revealed. Improvements were made such as her skin rendering, clothing materials, adjusted lighting, along with new facial techniques. The game will receive 11 languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Korean, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese).
