From Iconoclasts to Dragon Ball FighterZ

New year. New games. 2018 has started to see some solid games such as Super Meat Boy on the Nintendo Switch but this week is going to be a handful. Let’s take a look!

Iconoclasts (January 23)

Releases on: Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita

Iconoclasts is an action platformer video game that is currently in development by the developer Joakim “Konjak” Sandberg and published by Bifrost Entertainment.

Lost Sphear (January 23)

Releases on: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Steam

Lost Sphear is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Tokyo RPG Factory and published by Square Enix. The game is the second to be developed by Tokyo RPG Factory, and considered a spiritual successor to their first title, I Am Setsuna.

OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes (January 23)

Releases on: PlayStation 4, Xbox One

OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes is an upcoming action-adventure beat ’em up video game developed by Capybara Games and published by Cartoon Network Games. It is based on the show OK K.O.!

Shu (January 23)

Releases on: Nintendo Switch

When the great and terrible Storm destroys Shu’s village, he embarks on a desperate journey to survive. On his travels he’ll encounter stranded villagers; survivors of the devastation that need his help. In return for his assistance, these peculiar characters will grant Shu unique special abilities that he can use to traverse the treacherous path ahead.

Celeste (January 25)

Releases on: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam

Celeste is presented as a series of challenging platforming levels as the player guides the character up a mountain. The player can move, jump, and dash the character across platforms, but the player can only perform a dash once before touching ground again. The character’s hair changes color from red to blue to signify when the dash ability has been depleted. The character can pass through a balloon to replenish her jump mid-air. Collectible strawberries scattered throughout the levels add a score-based competition to the game.

Pokémon Crystal – 3DS Virtual Console (January 26)

Releases on: Nintendo 3DS

Originally released for the Game Boy™ Color system in 2000, Pokémon Crystal makes its return on the Virtual Console on January 26th, 2018. Explore the Johto region again—or for the first time! Available only on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

Monster Hunter World (January 26)

Monster Hunter: World is an upcoming action role-playing video game in development and to be published by Capcom, and is the sixth primary title in their Monster Hunter franchise.

Dragon Ball FighterZ (January 26)

Releases on: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam

Dragon Ball FighterZ is an upcoming 2.5D fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, based on the Dragon Ball franchise for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
