UPDATE 7/24/18 at 9:50am ET: We’ve added character trailers for base Goku and Vegeta below.
Bandai Namco US and UK has announced an open beta test for the Nintendo Switch in early August. When exactly in August? We don’t know yet but we do know that when the game releases on the Switch on September 28th, there will be three new modes: 1v1 and 2v2 Matches and 6-player offline party match. Sounds great but does the new modes be included for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players? That remains to be answered. We’ve contacted Bandai US and UK on this and will post as soon as we find out.
Good news for current owners of Dragon Ball FighterZ, base Goku and Vegeta will be available early August, says Bandai Namco UK. Those who have the season pass will be able to pick them up right away, otherwise you’ll have to pay a few bucks to download them onto your roster. If that wasn’t enough, there’s a live broadcast showcasing the new characters and more tomorrow in Japan at 20:00 (8pm) JST (7 am ET/4 am PT). For those who want to watch, you can do so right here.
You can also watch the official Japanese trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ below. The popular fighting game will release on the Nintendo Switch September 28, 2018 in North America and Europe. Japan will receive it on September 27, 2018. The game is available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam).
