With the release date of the popular fighting game coming up soon for the Nintendo Switch, Bandai Namco has finally announced the Dragon Ball FighterZ open beta schedule to Nintendo Switch players. Players will get the opportunity to choose 23 Dragon Ball FighterZ characters and have the opportunity to try them out in the Arena Match, Ring Match, and Ring Party Match modes. For those who want to practice first, the Practice Battle Tutorial mode is also available in the open beta. Here are the dates and times:

  • August 3rd: Release the Open Beta on the eShop for pre-load only (players will be able to begin downloading the Open Beta client on this day).

  • August 9th (9:00pm PDT / Midnight August 10th EST): Official release of the Open Beta on the Nintendo eShop and start of the Open Beta session (all players can now launch the game and have access to the online game servers).
  • August 11th ( 11:59pm PDT / 2:59am August 12th EST): The Open Beta period ends.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players had a similar setup on their open beta, however the were some hiccups on connectivity and Bandai Namco ended up extending the open beta at another day.

Dragon Ball FighterZ releases September 28, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch. Pre-ordering will get you two bonuses: Goku and Vegeta SSGSS available from the start and a download code for the Super Nintendo game Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden.
