Earlier this year, Nintendo made a surprised announcement that The World Ends With You would be releasing on the Nintendo Switch in 2018. The game originally released on the Nintendo DS in Japan in 2017, 2018 for North America and Europe and received positive feedback on its unique style of gameplay and design. Later in 2012, the game received a port to mobile devices and now will make another port to the Nintendo Switch on October 12th as The World Ends With You: Final Remix.

Players can use the touchscreen or the Joy-Con controllers for gameplay action along with two-player cooperative mode on the Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t caught on to the game’s title, the game will have remixed music from the original. There has been no mentioned of a limited edition like Japan has on their Square Enix store though you may never know, Square Enix may surprise us with a set on their online store but expect a hefty price tag.
