Tales of Vesperia special edition is coming next year to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on January 11, 2019 globally. Steam players will miss the opportunity for the physical edition. Those who pre-order the game directly from Bandai Namco will receive a special steel case and extra content that was originally from the Japan-only PlayStation 3 version. Sweet!

So what is Japan getting? A lot. Aside from a standard edition, a 11,000 yen (approx. $99 USD) first-print “10th Anniversary Edition” will be available for purchase. Here’s what it come with:

• Special box artwork from illustrator Kousuke Fujishima
• Reversible box art that celebrates 10 years of the game
• 10th anniversary hardcover memorial art book
• Acrylic plate featuring characters of the game
• Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike Blu-ray with bonus content

Pre-ordering either edition by February 7, 2019 will land you a special code for access to the Tales Channel+ website to watch the characters from the game talk amongst each other about the 10th anniversary of their game.

So while Japan gets a handful of goodies of the 10th anniversary of Tales of Vesperia, at least we have a case with some content. Right? The second trailer of the game was also released in Japan, which can be viewed below.
