If you think you’re getting the same ‘ol Dr. Mario game, Nintendo has some surprises for you. The game is played quite differently with pills moving up the screen than down. Instead of taking out a virus with a connect of three of the same colored pill, the game requires only two. Making it simpler for everyone to use. The game also features overview maps and unlocking areas and items based on collecting currency, diamonds and coins. You can also purchase diamonds with real money.
Players can also unlock new staff members so it’s not just Mario. We’ve seen Dr. Luigi so get ready for Peach, Toad, Yoshi, and yes Bowser to join the fun. Over 200 stages across many different worlds will be available at launch, with new doctors, stages and worlds continuing to be added to Dr. Mario World on a regular basis after launch.
