Dragon Ball Z Kakarot officially came out and its collector’s edition boxes have quickly flew off store shelves. Luckily, we were able to snag one at our local Best Buy store. We thoroughly enjoyed the Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 collector’s editions so were excited to see what’s inside this Dragon Ball Z Kakarot collector’s edition. What’s Inside Dragon Ball Z Kakarot’s Collector’s Edition

The box itself is quite colorful of its vibrant orange, hence the color-theme for Goku (Kakarot). Dragon Ball fans will smile when first laying eyes on it. It’s large and over 12″ all around. First opening the box, you’ll see a steelbook case and the physical edition of the game side-by-side. The steelbook, like the box, plastered in orange with Goku’s emblem on the front and on the back showcasing the seven dragon balls. Compared to FighterZ and Xenoverse 2, they share the same size. If you already possess all three or couple of the cases, they go-along well on your shelf.

Underneath the steelbook case and original game case is a 10″x12″ hardcover artbook. The artbook holds artwork of each main Dragon Ball Z character, each of their outfits, and environment scenes. A perfect book to fit to put with the rest of your other video game artbooks.

The biggest piece in the box is the diorama figure. Contained not only a separate box but also in a plastic shell for protection. The 8″x8″x8″ figure comes in a few pieces you have to put together. However, it’s not that difficult to piece together. The diorama itself are very detailed and clean. When Bandai Namco adds figures to their collections, they are worth getting, just like their Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 figures.

The unfortunate part is how hard this special edition is to find. They have flown off store shelves and online very fast. It’s uncertain if not enough of the special editions were made or that there were too many fans and scalpers grabbing them. The diorama figure itself is selling over $150 on eBay. The collector’s edition itself sells for $199.99. Keep an eye on Bandai Namco’s product page if any more come in stock.
