Indie game 20XX received a lot of praise, including our review when released in 2017. Today, 30XX announced and will make its debut at PAX East 2020. 30XX will have the same development team of 20XX, Batterystaple Games and support from Kowloon Nights. The game expected to launch on PC and consoles in 2021. You can visit the Steam page and add it to your wishlist. A reveal trailer available below the article.

30XX builds on the same foundation from 20XX, its megaroguelike gameplay and bringing in pixel artist Glauber Kotaki, who also worked on Rogue Legacy, Duelyst, and Chasm. The megaroguelike game will have eight worlds to explore, each unique and a fearsome guardian waiting in each stage. 20XX heroes Nina and Ace return with new abilities and no longer different primary weapons. Instead, Nina’s new Power Fusion system allows her to meld together abilities earned from defeating bosses. Using them in battle with 64 separate attacks. Ace’s blade skills contain techniques that can be chained together from standard to fierce combo attacks. The indie game will have local and online co-op, giving more options for players to play.

If you happen to be attending PAX East 2020 in Boston, Mass. Feb. 27-March 1, be sure to check out their demo. More details to come later in the year.
