After E3 cancelled last year, thanks to COVID-19, the large conference is not skipping another year. E3 2021 is going all-digital after announcing there won’t be a in-person event. The event takes place June 12 through June 15, details on the schedule and where to watch at a later date. Entertainment Software Association (ESA) looking to provide content globally to everyone for free from their desktop and on mobile app. Regards to who’s attending the digital conference, Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games, Koch Media, and more made commitments. E3 2021 looking to continue to carry unexpected reveals, live press conferences, headline announcements all during E3.

Stanley Pierre-Louis, President & CEO of the ESA had the following to say regards E3 2021 going digital-only:

For more than two decades, E3 has been the premier venue to showcase the best that the video game industry has to offer, while uniting the world through games. We are evolving this year’s E3 into a more inclusive event, but will still look to excite the fans with major reveals and insider opportunities that make this event the indispensable center stage for video games.

We’ve seen something similar last year with Anime Expo doing digital, let’s see how E3 will fare. As for 2022, ESA says they’re looking to have E3 be in person. Details on E3 2021 event schedule to come closer to June.
