Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Adds Upgrades to the Original

Since its announcement to release the first six Final Fantasy games, fans wait patiently on how the popular Final Fantasy VI would be treated. Would it take after the original Super Nintendo (SNES) version or the “upgraded” visuals released on Steam and smartphone in 2015? Based on the recent release from Famitsu, a Japanese magazine publication, showcased a few screenshots of the Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy VI. The results are looking promising as the game looks to not only take after the SNES version but taking a few notes from Octopath Traveler, using the 2D-HD engine.

A release date for Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remastered scheduled to release in February 2022. Final Fantasy V‘s Pixel Remaster version released last month, November. Like the previous Final Fantasy entries, the new version for Final Fantasy VI will replace the current version on Steam, iOS and Android. Would you pick up the Pixel Remaster version if available on the platform of your choice or stick with the original copy? Square Enix released a statement Monday, December 20th at 11pm that Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster requires additional time for polishing the game before its release in February 2022.
