Prequel to the popular Final Fantasy VII is coming back after being an exclusive to the PlayStation Portable (PSP). Not only is it coming back but it’s also getting a facelift. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII remaster, also titled as Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, revealed during Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary broadcast.
The popular 2007 action role-playing game (RPG) follows the story of 1st Class SOLDIER, Zack Fair. Zack, on a mission to find missing SOLDIER Genesis Rhapsodos, will find secrets behind the corporation of Shinra and unravel the stories of Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie, and others. The game is slated to release this winter on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam). That’ll give PlayStation 5 owners something to chew on until Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releases next year.
