Dead or Alive makes a return after a long absence. Originally released in 2019, Dead or Alive 6 returns in an updated version. Dead or Alive 6 Last Round announced to release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam) this summer. The game will release in two different versions, the standard edition and the free-to-play edition.
The free-to-play version, Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters, will release alongside the standard edition with the following characters: Kasumi, Marie Rose, Honoka, and NiCO. The photo mode and online modes, “DOA Quest” and “DOA Central” will also be playable. New costumers and new characters are schedule to be released post-launch across both the standard and free-to-play versions this year. More details to come.
The all-new photo mode feature will be added to the game so players can capture their favorite fighter’s pose in action. The original game will be updated to the latest hardware and players are given the ability to carry over DLC content (costumes, premium tickets) and save data from their Dead or Alive 6 standard edition.
Fans can visit the game’s official website for more details. The standard and deluxe edition of the original Dead or Alive 6 is currently on sale on the PlayStatin Store, Xbox Store, and PC (Steam) until February 26, 2026.
Additional to the announcement of Last Round, a new Dead or Alive project was revealed to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary. More details to come at a later date.
