A New Evangelion Anime Series is in Production

Evangelion, of the most popular and influenced anime, just celebrated its 30th anniversary. With the milestone, a new Evangelion anime series is officially in production. The announcement was revealed during the final day of the EVANGELION:30+;  30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION festival, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Evangelion.

The series script will be done by Yoko Taro, known for his famous works in NieR and NieR: Automata. The series will be directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (The End of Evangelion, FLCL, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX) and Toko Yatabe (Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, Weathering with You). Music composed by Keiichi Okabe (NieR: Automata, Tekken series). It’s a powerful group and it’ll be interesting to see what this team can do with the popular anime series. Studio Khara is co-producing the series with CloverWorks.
