Final Fantasy VII Revelation announced to release on all platforms in spring 2027. With the recent release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series consoles, you couldn’t ask for a better time to announce the latest, and last chapter in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy.

The announcement was made during the Summer Game Fest broadcast as the last surprise trailer of the show. Not only there was an announcement trailer to celebrate the game’s official title and confirmation, but Square Enix’s team showcased a gameplay introduction. Players will be able to drive the famous Highwind aircraft to travel around the world, fight against the infamous, giant Weapons, and add class-attire equipment that’ll make Tifa look like a mage and Cloud as a knight.

There’s more thought put into this last chapter and a variety of tributes to the original 1997 game, such as the color and design of the logo, and the menu’s character profile images imitating the original design. Fans of the series should look forward to the next and final Final Fantasy VII remake.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation announced to release on the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in spring 2027. Fans can visit the game’s official website and the Japanese website for additional information and pre-order options in the near future. Fans can view the two official trailers, screenshots, and Nintendo Switch 2 version screenshots below the article.
