With Year 3 wrapped up with the release of Ingrid, Capcom isn’t stopping with Street Fighter 6. During the Summer Game Fest, Year 4 was revealed and comes with four characters, one being a surprise from a different franchise. Street Fighter 6 adds Tifa Lockhart from the Final Fantasy VII remake series to the Street Fighter roster.

Last time we saw a Final Fantasy character in a fighting game was Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI as a guest character in Tekken 8. Tifa makes sense due to her martial art skills in the video game. Tifa’s move set will involve Final Fantasy VII’s materia to utilize certain spells to her attacks. While no gameplay was available, players will have to wait till early 2027 to play as the popular character.

In the meantime, Street Fighter 6 will add Yasmine on August 3rd, Arjun this autumn, and Bosch in spring 2027. All three fighters will utilize different skillsets. Below are additional details of each upcoming fighter.

• Yasmine (Summer 2026), a highschooler hailing from the Philippines joins the fight to search for her long-lost brother. Despite her shy and gentle demeanor, Yasmine beams with confidence whenever she uses her crescent-shaped karambit knife to dance around her opponents at high speed just like her Lolo taught her.
• Arjun (Autumn 2026) uses extraordinary lung capacity combined with yogic breathing to unleash explosive power with his unique Bare-knuckle Yoga techniques. While working as a police officer in India Arjun was accused of killing a colleague and now lives on the run while he searches for the true culprit.
• Tifa (Early 2027) is a highly skilled practitioner of Zangan-ryu Martial Arts and a member of the “Avalanche” resistance group. During her journey with her companions, she is unexpectedly transported to another world where she encounters and bonds with new fighters. Tifa excels in close-range combat, combining martial arts techniques with unique powers called Abilities.
• Bosch (Spring 2027) departed his home nation of Nayshall to pursue the true meaning of strength and eventually wins the sacred martial arts tournament. His travels brought him to Metro City where he trained under Luke to incorporate modern combat methods into the ancient techniques of Nayshall’s warrior faith.

Year 4 Character and Ultimate Passes are available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC and available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch 2.
