Revealed during Evo 2026, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising announced to release for the Nintendo Switch 2 along with the fighting game’s update to version 2.60 on September 17th.
The version 2.60 update will provide some big upgrades to the fighting game for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam) on September 17th. This release will feature a new playable DLC character from Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Id. Along with the addition of Id, a new stage called Ainsteddo Archipelago will be added, a new system mechanic, balance adjustments for several characters and more. More details to come this year.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will also receive the same treatment as the other platforms. This includes the entire 40-character roster that includes Id and other previous characters that were released as DLC. Local communication multiplayer support that will allow players to fight anyone and play with any character. The expansive Story Mode and Figure Studio will be included in the Switch 2 version.

Additionally, a save data link bonus with upcoming release of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok, a big update to the popular RPG game. Players will receive bonus items such as a weapon skin for Id and a Lyria (Shaman of Salvation) lobby avatar.
