Fans will soon be able to revisit Fabletown in this definitive edition of The Wolf Among Us: Remastered. We had the opportunity to demo the game at Summer Game Fest, and for those who missed out, there will be another chance to play it on modern platforms.
Same Story, Better Presentation

You play as Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, a hidden community where fairy tale characters live among the real world in New York City. However, things go dark when a brutal murder shakes the community. You’ll need to investigate the situation, and every action, every decision you make, will change the game’s story, from dialogues to relationships and more.
The remastered version preserves the original experience but modernizes the visuals to look more polished. The improved lighting, higher-resolution textures, and refined character models provide more reasons to replay the game, and if it’s your first time, you’ll have a wonderful experience. Its cel-shaded art and dark environment give it that comic book feeling and a resemblance to films like Sin City.
The interactions players must choose within a time limit add that urgency, and whatever decision you make creates a unique scenario to that selection. Whether you throw the first punch or negotiate, the choice feels fantastic for players, and the visual animations enhance it. Just playing the short demo and getting a small taste of the game’s story, I’m ready to explore more.

The folklore storytelling has its charm that makes the world of The Wolf Among Us intriguing. Its dark humor and yes, mature themes make it a wild story to follow and interact with. With the enhanced presentation and keeping the five original episodes intact in one game, I can see this remastered version being on many players’ wishlists to play this year. It’s a good time to jump into this title before The Wolf Among Us 2 comes out in 2027.
The Wolf Among Us: Remastered is set to launch in Holiday 2026 for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Fans can visit the game’s official website for more information and purchasing options. We appreciate PM Studios giving us the opportunity to view a piece of Wolf’s journey at the Summer Game Fest.
