During the Sega Fes 2018, Sega has announced quite a bit of classics coming out to today’s video game consoles (Sega Ages, Shenmue 1 & 2). However, Sega has announced another big news for their classic games. Announcing the Sega Mega Drive Mini (tentative title), a mini-console that will hold Genesis titles and slated to release later this year, celebrating 30 years of the classic console.
No titles were mentioned but expect to see classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd, Altered Beast, Columns, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Phantasy Star, and Streets of Rage to be named for the classic mini-console. Hopefully this isn’t just a duplicate of gaming library from the Sega Genesis Classics.
With the Sega Fes still going on this weekend, could we see a special announcement of a 20th anniversary of the Sega Dreamcast (released in 1998 in Japan)?
