Dreamcast game, Space Channel 5 made a funky splash in 2000 (1999 in Japan). The game eventually came to the PlayStation 2 then the GameBoy Advance for the western audience. The musical game has been quiet since then but no more. (Taps on mic) Space Channel 5 VR has been announced for the PlayStation VR and PC. A VR (virtual reality) game of the musical adventure makes sense for players to experience. Rhythm games like Beat Saber, Thumper and Rez Infinite have shown great potential in the VR world.
Inside the ’60s style world, instead of playing as reporter Ulala, you’ll play as a rookie reporter who joins her show. You’ll strike poses to avoid enemy lasers and match enemy movements with the PlayStation Move controllers. The game includes a beginners mode to not only shake the rust off but watch the game in different angles. Other modes include the dressing room where you can change Ulala’s outfit (ooh-la-la).
