The popular anime series, The Apothecary Diaries will get its own video game after its announcement this morning on the Nintendo Direct. Officially titled as The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother, is the first-ever adaptation of the anime will lead fans into discovering an exclusive story and characters conceptualized by the series author Hyuganatsu. The game is in development but a trailer of its reveal available to watch below.
You’ll follow Maomao, a pleasure-district apothecary who works in the rear palace. You’re roped into a investigation that could destroy the imperial court. Players will not only explore the crime scenes but also the surrounding city to find clues and interview witnesses. Gather ingredients needed to concoct medicines than can serve as evidence or helping a friend. The more information you gather, the more evidence you’ll have to solve the case.
The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother is in development and set to launch in early 2027 for the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam). Fans can visit the game’s official website for more information.
